Dual Master’s Degree Program — Partnering with Case Western Reserve University (CWRU) School of Medicine, USA
The College of Nutrition has officially signed a 1+1 Dual Master’s Degree Agreement with the prestigious School of Medicine, Case Western Reserve University (CWRU), USA.
1+1 Program Highlights
- Year 1: Complete coursework and research at TMU.
- Year 2: Study at CWRU and complete a master’s degree.
- Save time and living costs compared to a full two-year overseas master’s program.
- All-English learning and living environment to rapidly improve professional English and cross-cultural communication skills.
Graduate with a master’s degree from TMU and a master’s degree from CWRU.
This program shall be implemented in accordance with the cooperation agreement jointly executed by the College of Nutrition, Taipei Medical University (TMU), and the School of Medicine, Case Western Reserve University (CWRU) on December 18, 2024.
Degree Conferred
Upon completion of the 1+1 Dual Master’s Degree Program and fulfillment of all program requirements, students shall be awarded master’s degrees by both institutions (one degree certificate from each institution):
- Taipei Medical University (TMU): Master’s degree in accordance with the regulations of the College of Nutrition
- Case Western Reserve University (CWRU): Master of Science (M.S.) in Nutrition
Duration: One year at TMU, followed by one year at CWRU

Requirements
- must simultaneously fulfill the course and graduation requirements of both TMU and CWRU (with degrees conferred separately by each institution)
- key requirements for the CWRU M.S. in Nutrition program include:
- A total of 30 credits
- At least 18 credits must be completed at CWRU.
- Completion of all required coursework and comprehensive examination and/or thesis requirements
Tuition & Fees
- During the period of study, students are required to pay tuition and miscellaneous fees only to the institution at which they are enrolled at the time.
- Students are not required to pay tuition and fees to both institutions simultaneously.
- While studying at TMU, students shall pay tuition and fees to TMU.
- While studying at CWRU, students shall pay tuition and fees to CWRU.
Application Timeline
- shall follow the graduate admissions schedule of CWRU
- In general, applications for the Fall semester must be submitted by July 1 each year (subject to official announcements by CWRU).
Eligibility
- Must be a newly admitted or current master’s student in the College of Nutrition.
- Must pass TMU’s internal selection and CWRU’s admission review.
Quota: The actual number of admitted students shall be determined based on joint review by both institutions and final approval by CWRU.
