Research Center of Geriatric Nutrition

To address the challenges of healthy aging, the Research Center of Geriatric Nutrition brings together experts from across the college to focus on both basic and clinical nutrition for the elderly. Our mission is to slow the progression of senility, enable individuals with suboptimal health or mild disabilities to regain wellness, and reduce the severity of long-term care needs among persons with disabilities. We aim to extend healthy life expectancy, enhance quality of life, and reduce healthcare costs.

In pursuit of these goals, we establish community service stations for health assessments, educational programs, and the creation of age-friendly environments, while actively promoting geriatric nutrition and related health policies. Collaborating with school-related research units and centers, we facilitate cross-sectoral academic cooperation and strengthen partnerships with clinicians. Additionally, we join forces with academic and industrial partners to study and develop elderly nutrition- and health-related products.

Through field visits, seminars, and international exchanges, we foster collaboration with organizations experienced in elderly health promotion, thereby enhancing the international profile of the college and contributing to the global advancement of geriatric nutrition and wellness.
