2020 KoSFoST Annual Meeting International Student Travel Award Competition
The Korean Society of Food Science and Technology (KoSFoST) is pleased to announce International Student Travel Award Competition for the international students attending 2020 KoSFoST Annual Meeting held in Kimdaejung Convention Center, Gwangju, Korea during July 1-3, 2020. Every year, more than 2,000 professionals and students from academia and industries in Korea and many other countries attend KoSFoST annual meeting and share their up-to-date knowledges and experiences in the field of food science and technology. If you are graduate or undergraduate students studying food science and technology in your countries, you are eligible to apply for the travel grant of KRW 500,000 to present your research in 2020 KoSFoST Annual Meeting. It should a great opportunity for students who are interested in visiting Korea and meeting people in various food research fields.
The deadline for applying to 2020 KoSFoST Annual Meeting International Student Travel Award Competition is February 28, 2020.
To apply for a grant please follow the steps below:
1. Make sure that you are eligible to apply for 2020 KoSFoST Annual Meeting travel award: You must currently be an international student enrolled full-time at a higher educational institution outside Korea, and must submit an abstract for KoSFoST Annual Meeting 2020.
2. Fill out a Student Travel Award Application Form with a signature of the applicant’s advisor (must be signed and include the contact information of the advisor), and an abstract for 2020 KoSFoST Annual Meeting submission.
3. All the application documents for the student travel grant should be sent electronically to the Travel Award Competition Committee, Prof. Ok Kyung Koo, okoo@gnu.ac.kr, by February 28, 2020.
The student travel award committee will review the applications and the awardees will be announced individually to the applicant’s email by the end of March 2020.
Please note that the awardees will receive a fixed travel grant in the amount of KRW 500,000 and will be provided at the conference.
